Teachers can move too-a dance break challenge

Freshman Mackenzie Drinkard and English teacher Grant Miller decided to record a dance routine before dismissal on November 20.

Instead of recording TikToks in the hallway during class time (which is against school policy), Miller and Drinkard practiced a dance routine as part of a brain break at the end of the day.

While Drinkard originally came to Miller’s room to complete her Unit 2 Essay, they took a quick break to dance to the 2021 afrobeat hit “Shayimpepe” by Mavuthela, Ribby, and Swizz Panache; a song with over four million plays on Spotify.

Drinkard resumed working on her essay soon after.

If any teachers and students feel like they can show a better dance break, feel free to submit your videos to gmiller831@nps.k12.va.us.
