Maury girls defeat Churchland with defense

Government shutdown hits the Maury community

By Moriah Schranz On Nov. 12, the United States government shutdown finally ended. This 43 day shutdown, beginning Oct. 1, was the longest in US history. A U.S. government shutdown occurs when Congress does not pass a budget in time. This 2025 shutdown occurred largely due to a disagreement over the Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium tax credits. Basketball season starts with a win and a loss for Maury

By Grant Miller Maury took a W and an L against Norview Friday night. During the Dec. 5 season opener at Norview High School, the Lady Commodores won 63-45 while the boys lost 75-49. Maury Football defeats Warwick
